Lavindu and Vihara champs at NRT juniors

The Sri Lanka Golf National Ranking Tournament (NRT) concluded in style at the Royal Colombo Golf Club, bringing together some of the best young golfing talents in the country. Over two days of competitive play, several players stood out with exceptional consistency and skill in the overall Boys and Girls segments.

Lavindu Premarathna stole the spotlight with a phenomenal performance, scoring 75 on Day 1 and 72 on Day 2, finishing with the best total of 147, earning him the Overall Winner in the Boys segment. Meanwhile, G.G.S. Sathsara, following closely, shooting 75 and 79 over the two days, totalling 154, showed his strong presence in the competition. Janeesh Weerasinghe secured third place with rounds of 76 and 79, finishing with 155, proving his consistency under pressure.

In the Girls segment, Vihara Herath led the girls’ division with a solid performance, scoring 98 and 92, totalling 190, and claiming the Overall Winner in the Girls category. Aaraadhi Samararathne put up a commendable effort, finishing with a total of 193 from rounds of 95 and 98, taking the second spot. Anumi Karunathilake came in third with 101 on Day 1 and 98 on Day 2, totalling 199, standing out with her back-nine strength.
