Lankan cricketers, SLC pay tribute to late Trevor Rajaratnam

Sri Lanka cricketers wore black arm bands during yesterday’s third ODI against Afghanistan at Pallekele as a mark of respect to the late Trevor Rajaratnam, a former Sri Lanka Cricket administrator who passed away on Tuesday.       

In a media release Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said that it was deeply saddened by the death of Trevor Rajaratnam, who was a former Vice President of SLC and a former Treasurer.

Sri Lanka’s cricket fraternity remains indebted to him for the valuable services he rendered for the game in the country. We wish to express our condolences to Trevor’s family, friends, and relatives at this moment of sadness, the release further stated.

Rajaratnam was a Patron of Colombo Colts Cricket Club which celebrated its 150th year last year.
