Sri Lanka’s latest venue with floodlights, the SSC Ground will host the first five matches of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) Season 6, which will run from 17 July to 8 August.
The official fixtures released by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and the Innovative Production Group (IPG Group) yesterday sees SSC hosting five of the 24 matches scheduled to be played.
The opening ceremony on 17 July will be followed by the Jaffna vs. Galle curtain-raiser. SSC will also host the next four matches on 18 and 19 July.
The tournament then moves to Dambulla, where the next nine matches will take place between 21 and 26 July.
Pallekele will host the final series of League matches – six in all, from 28 July to 2 August.
The knockout stage matches, numbering four including the final, will take place at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium from 5-8 August.
There will be a rain reserve day – 9 August – for the final.
