Johnpillai and Boralessa make their mark at Pin and Pam Fernando Golf

Kushal Johnpillai and Dhinuka Boralessa were in sparkling form on the greens at the Pin and Pam Fernando Trophy Golf 2026, producing impressive performances at the Royal Colombo Golf Club last weekend.

Johnpillai was the undisputed star of the men’s competition, clinching the Overall Men’s Gross Championship with a superb score of 69. The talented golfer also swept the A Division honours, winning both the Best Gross (69) and Best Nett (64) titles to cap a memorable outing.

Boralessa matched that feat in the women’s competition by securing the Overall Ladies’ Gross Championship with a fine gross score of 86. She also completed a double by claiming the Ladies Division Best Gross and Best Nett awards after returning a nett score of 69 on a back-nine countback.

Mahesh Senaratne enjoyed an equally impressive tournament, winning the Overall Men’s Nett Championship with a brilliant nett score of 62 while also taking both the C Division Best Gross (85) and Best Nett titles. Elsie Pathmanathan was crowned Overall Ladies’ Nett Champion with a nett score of 69 after finishing runner-up in the Ladies Division Nett event.

The remaining divisions also produced quality golf. Kaiyan Johnpillai claimed the Junior Best Gross title with 77, while Varun Fernando won the Junior Best Nett award with 72. Bandula Weerasinghe topped the Masters Gross category with 74, with Inderjith Fernando securing the Masters Nett title with 63.

Harendra De Silva emerged as the Seniors Gross winner with 88, while A. P. Jayarajah claimed the Seniors Nett honours with an excellent 64. In the B Division, Srinath Rajapakse captured the Best Gross title with 79, while Dehan De Silva won the Best Nett award with 67.
