International panel of match officials named for LPL sixth edition

An international panel of match officials have been named for the upcoming Lanka Premier League sixth edition that is due to commence on 17 July and played at four venues in Sri Lanka.

The panel features ICC Elite Panel Match Referee Ranjan Madugalle, ICC Elite Panel Umpire Kumar Dharmasena, two umpires from overseas and several other ICC match referees and umpires, as well as a number of officials from Sri Lanka Cricket’s Emerging Match Official Panels.

The umpires from overseas are from the ICC Emerging Umpires Group namely, Wayne Knights from New Zealand and Asif Yaqoob from Pakistan. Knights has officiated in 8 Tests, 34 ODIs and 87 T20Is, while Yaqoob in 9 Tests, 38 ODIs and 66 T20Is.
