Nethmi Upeksha scored an unbeaten half-century to take the Player of the Match award | Player of the Series India Under-19 Women Captain Bhavika Ahire
India Women completed a 3-0 clean sweep of the Under-19 Women’s unofficial T20I series against Sri Lanka Women when they won the third and final match by seven wickets at Chennai.
Choosing to bat first Sri Lanka Women managed only 116-7 in their 20 overs with Nethmi Upeksha making a top score of 51* off 60 balls (5 fours), an innings that won her the Player of the Match award.
India Women reached the target with eight balls to spare, scoring 120-3. Skipper Bhavika Ahire contributed with a half-century – 50 off 48 balls (5 fours).
India Women’s Under-19 captain Bhavika Ahire was picked the Player of the Series.
The two teams will play a three-match unofficial ODI series at Puducherry commencing from today.
