ICC umpire falls ill during SL-BD second Test

England’s Alex Wharf, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires and one of the on-field officials for the ongoing second Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh at the SSC Grounds, was compelled to leave the field during the final session of play yesterday (first day) due to an illness.

As a result, the match umpiring panel has been adjusted as follows and will remain in effect until Alex Wharf is able to resume duties.



Revised umpiring panel:

On-field Umpires: Allahuddien Paleker (ICC Elite Panel), Prageeth Rambukwella (ICC International Panel)

TV Umpire: Rod Tucker (ICC Elite Panel)

Fourth Umpire: Raveendra Wimalasiri (ICC International Panel)
