Holy Family Convent Kurunegala wins MILO Champion Cup at Super 16 Schools’ Netball Championship

The Super 16 Schools’ Netball Championship successfully concluded last week with HFC Kurunegala winning the coveted MILO Champion Cup. Marking the restart of school netball, the championship saw participation from over 300 skilled students of 16 schools across the country.

Organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Netball Association under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, this championship was sponsored by Nestlé MILO. Being a strong patron of developing grassroot sports in the country, Nestlé MILO has supported the progression of school netball for over 20 years in its journey of nourishing children to go further in life.

First Runners up: Musaeus College

Second Runners up: Kaluthara Balika Vidyalaya

Most outstanding player of the tournament: Hiruni Heshani-HFC Kurunegala

Best Shooter: Bhashi Udagedara-HFC Kurunegala

Best Defender: Nethanga Gunarathne-Musaeus College

Best Centre court player: Nethasha Dias-HFC Kurunegala
