To mark the 70th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force, the ‘Guwan Hamuda Papedi Sawariya’ annual cycling event was held for the 22nd consecutive time, under the sponsorship of SLT-Mobitel. The event took place on 7 March and concluded successfully amidst an air of excitement. Recording their wins, Sonal De Silva from the Sri Lanka Ports Authority won the Men’s Race while Udeshani Niranjani representing the Sri Lanka Army won the Women’s Race. Due to the prevailing pandemic situation, this year’s event was organised to be held in one day and recorded keen participation from almost 200 male and female cyclists.
