Hayleys Group “B” maintained their unbeaten status in Group “A”, as they posted 4 wins on the trot, in the ongoing 4th Ceylon Biscuits Ltd “CBL Munchee” trophy – MCA “D” division 40 over League Tournament 2024, continued during last week.

On Sunday, 26 November, Hayleys “B” beat People’s Leasing by 6 wickets and went on to beat Colombo Dockyard by 9 wickets on Tuesday, 28 November. Earlier, they beat Power Hand Plantation by 18 runs on the DLS method and beat Melwire Rolling by 7 wickets; Hayleys will play their last game in the league against Central Finance on Saturday 2 December.

Week-end’s best batting came from Hayleys “B” opening batsman Deemantha Kalugalage who scored a sparkling 87 runs in 63 balls, inclusive of 8 sixes and 3 fours Vs. People’s Leasing and the best bowling from National Development Bank’s right arm off spinner, Sohan de Mel who finished with 5 for 27 in 8 overs Vs. Recovery Room.
