Hayleys Group “B” maintains unbeaten run in MCA D Division 40 Over league

Hayleys Group “B” completed its quota of matches with their 5th successive win, beating Central Finance by 10 runs, advanced to the quarter finals from Group “A”, in the ongoing 4th Ceylon Biscuits Ltd., sponsored, “CBL- Munchee” Trophy, MCA D Division 40 Over league tournament 2024 which continued last weekend.

Stafford Motors too completed their quota of league matches with comfortable 106 runs win over National Development Bank “A” and advanced to the quarter finals from Group “B”.

Week-end’s honours were shared by 3 bowlers each with a haul of 5 wickets, namely Ruchira Kolitha from Stafford Motor Company (08/01/ 22/05 vs. NDB Bank “A”), Janith Wickramasinghe from Colombo Dockyard ( 08/16/05 vs. Peoples Leasing) and Lahiru Tharaka from Central Finance (08/30/05 vs. Hayleys “B”)
