Hasaranga the match-winner for Deccan Gladiators

The world’s No. 1 T20I ranked spinner, Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga, picked up his first Man of the Match award in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 tournament when he bowled Deccan Gladiators to a six-wicket win over Northern Warriors on Tuesday.

Hasaranga took 2/5 to restrict Northern Warriors to 70/6, a total which Deccan Gladiators overhauled in 7.1 overs to record their third win of the tournament.    

In another match, Chennai Braves were at the receiving end of Bangla Tigers, who smashed them for 91/1 off 4.2 overs to win by nine wickets. Johnson Charles hammered 36 off 12 balls with five sixes and Hazratullah Zazai an unbeaten 34 off nine balls with three sixes. Chennai had three Sri Lankans in their side Bhanuka Rajapaksa (10), Angelo Perera (26) and skipper Dasun Shanaka (6), but none could make any worthwhile contribution to their score of 90/6.
