Haroon and Vijitha tied on number one

Amidst lush greenery and breath-taking landscape Haroon Aslam the former Trinitian on holiday from USA along with Vijitha Bandara tied for the top position on 73 points each at the May 2024 National Ranking Tournament which commenced at the Victoria Golf Resort (VGR) in the Central region.

Vijitha Bandara the sole professional was in top class form on a one over par 73 round. Closely followed on number three positions were Chalitha Pushpika, Uchitha Ranasinghe, and the young sensation Yannik Kumara, all vying for the top spot as they joined in the second position.

Yannik who accounted for the Gents Gross a few days back at the same course during the Mark Bostock trophy showed his supreme class with long range shots.

The event is organised by Sri Lanka Golf (SLG). Day 2 will take place today.
