HNB, Browns, and NTB shine at 73rd Mercantile Hockey Knockout

Hatton National Bank beat Sampath Bank at the 73rd Mercantile Hockey Knockout Tournament, organised by the Mercantile Hockey Association, 5/2 which took place recently at the Astro Turf, Colombo 07.

Browns Group fought hard in the B Division final, edging past Hayleys with a narrow 2/1 victory. Hayleys took the initial lead in the second quarter, but Browns’ Pathum Prabodha equalised in the third before sealing the win with a decisive goal in the final quarter, demonstrating resilience and teamwork.

In the C Division, Nations Trust Bank (NTB) delivered a clinical performance to secure a convincing 3/0 triumph against HNB (B) team, completing their run without conceding a single goal.
