Wilson is expanding its footprint in Asia with its official entry into Sri Lanka, bringing its legacy of performance, innovation, and sporting culture to a new generation of athletes on the island.
Best known for its deep roots in tennis and its presence across some of the world’s biggest sporting stages, Wilson’s arrival marks a significant moment for Sri Lanka’s evolving sports landscape and growing appetite for premium international sports brands.
The brand will celebrate its official launch in Sri Lanka today (26) at One Galle Face, Colombo, with two special sessions from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The launch precedes the official store opening and will introduce invited guests to the world of Wilson through a curated brand experience.
Anchored in its global leadership in racquet sports, Wilson’s Sri Lankan offering will span tennis, padel, pickleball and basketball, tennis will take centre court as the lead category at launch, reflecting the brand’s global heritage and long-standing connection to the sport.
Wilson’s official entry into Sri Lanka is enabled through a partnership with Trident Distributors, with Yasser Farook leading the brand’s local market development.
The launch represents a major step in making Wilson’s globally trusted range of sporting equipment, apparel, and accessories more accessible to Sri Lankan athletes, enthusiasts, and the wider sporting community.
