France sealed the 2026 Guinness Six Nations title on the final day of the tournament after edging England in a dramatic encounter in Paris, capping a tightly contested championship decided on “Super Saturday.”

In the final round, Ireland defeated Scotland 43-21 in Dublin to secure the Triple Crown and briefly move to the top of the table while awaiting the outcome of the final match.

Wales also ended their campaign on a positive note, beating Italy 31-17 in Cardiff to register their first victory of the championship after a difficult run of results earlier in the tournament.

The decisive fixture came in Paris, where France produced a late comeback to defeat England 48-46 in one of the most dramatic finishes in the tournament’s history. A last-minute penalty from Thomas Ramos secured the win and confirmed France as champions.

France wore a special light blue kit to celebrate the 120th anniversary of their first meeting in 1906, paying homage to the original kits used in that inaugural match. The kit was approved by officials despite concerns about a potential clash with England’s white kit, leading to criticism over visibility.

France finished the championship on 21 points, two ahead of Ireland, to claim their second consecutive Six Nations title.
