Four boxers for Sri Lanka Under-22 at Elite Asian Games

Sri Lanka will be represented with 4 youth boxers at the Under-22 Elite Asian Games 2024 which will take place in Astana, Kazakhstan from 25 April to 8 May 2024.

Salman Faris (Trinity), Umayanga Mihiran (Nalanda), Heshan Jayasinghe (St. Sylvester’s) and Yasidu Premarathne (S. Thomas Mount Lavinia) are the 4 boxers. Sameera Karunarathna will be their Head Coach on tour.

Umayanga Mihiran won the Gold while Heshan Jayasinghe and Yasidu Premarathne bagged the Silver medals at the 34th South Asian/South East Asian Boxing Championship. 

Salman Faris won the Bronze medal at the same event.
