After much speculation, the final 15 players representing Sri Lanka in this month’s ICC T20 World Cup have been made official by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). From the original squad that was picked at the end of the ODI series against England, Sri Lanka has made a late change replacing Dhananjaya de Silva with Kamindu Mendis, after De Silva had failed to impress in the first T20I against England at Pallekele.
Apart from that change the rest of the squad remains the same which includes fast bowler Eshan Malinga who dislocated his left arm during the second T20I against England on Sunday.
Sri Lanka who are co-hosting the World Cup with India play their opening match on 8 February against Ireland at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
