Exide drives champions to victory at Walawa Supercross 2025

Exide, the leader in automotive batteries in Sri Lanka, was yet again one of the proud sponsors of the renowned Walawa Supercross 2025 for the fifth consecutive year. Organised by the Southern Motor Sports Club in association with the Sri Lanka Army Motor Sports Committee, the much-anticipated event took place at the Craftsman Autodrome in Sevanagala, Udawalawe, recently. 

This year’s Supercross featured 12 car race categories; SLGT, SLH, SLE, SLN and Diesel, along with nine motorbike events including Motocross and junior events for young riders with over 150 entries. 

Exide Racing Co-Brand Ambassadors, SLGT Champion Ashan Silva and Motocross Champion Jacques Gunawardena, dominated their respective races, winning the SLGT 3500CC event and the Group MX-Bikes 100CC–125CC (2T) and 175CC–250CC (4T) categories, and were awarded titles of Best Driver and Best Rider.
