Dr. Kelum continues as President of Sri Lions

Dr. Kelum Sujith Perera

Sri Lions Founder and Chairman Dr. Kelum Sujith Perera was re-elected President of the Sri Lions Sports Club at their fourth Annual General Meeting (AGM) which took place at the JAT Holdings Office Auditorium Hall in Thalawathugoda recently.

Diana Oshadi and Kemith Lindula will be their International Vice Presidents, with Channa Thilakarathne as the Secretary. The Assistant Secretary will be Suranji Peiris. Head of HR and looking into player welfare and contracts will be Apsara Gunarathne.

The financial and strategic direction will be handled by Sujith Punchihewa, while Savith Oshada will serve as Events Director and Sujani Rathnayake will be the Director of Rugby.

Netball and international sports affairs will have the leadership of Akila Jayawardena and Kemdi Perera. Nalin Thabeeth will be in charge of Marketing and Sponsorship.

Telishiya Jayaneththi will be heading the Anuradhapura branch, while Mirinda Nuwan will be coming in as an ExCom Member.

Meanwhile, the Player of the Year award went to former Zahira and St. Peter’s player Nizran Nillar for 2024/2025, who represented the national rugby outfit.

Dushmantha Priyadarshana will lead the Sri Lions outfit for 2025/2026. His two Deputies will be Dinuk Amarasinghe and Ganindu Lakshan. Rajiv Perera will be their Head Coach for 2025/2026. (SJ)
