Donald Steel 2018 tees off today

The much looked forward to Donald Steel tournament for 2018 will take place at the Victoria Golf and Country Resort today. Tee off is scheduled for 7.30 a.m.

Voted as one of the 100 most beautiful courses in the world and number one in the Asian subcontinent, the par 73, 6974-yard championship course was designed in 1997 by the internationally acclaimed golf course architect Donald Steel to USPGA standards.

Victoria Golf and Country Resort will hold the 11th Annual Club Championship 2018. The tournament will feature one day of competitive golf in stroke play format. The tournament will be over 18 holes.

The players will be given a feel of playing in a professional tournament through the use of top quality collateral and administration. Victoria Golf and Country Resort members and non-members from all over the country, and even from overseas, will be vying for the trophies on offer.

Nimal Wettimuny will defend the Donald Steel 2017 title while for the Ladies event, the Pam Fernando Trophy, will be defended by its 2017 winner Anouk Chitty.
