Dialog, Maliban and HNB and Ansell advance to MCA “F” Division 25 Over League semis 

The 3 unbeaten teams, HNB “B”, Maliban Biscuits “B” and Dialog Axiata along with the dark horse, Ansell Lanka, advanced to the Semi Finals, in the on-going 6th Fairfirst Insurance Trophy – MCA “F” division 25 Over League Tournament 2024 winning their quarter finals matches concluded on Saturday.

1st Quarter Final: Dialog Axiata romped to a comfortable 7 wickets win over MAS Active; MAS Active batting first was restricted to 95/8 in 25 overs and Dialog shed little sweat on reaching their target in 19 overs, scoring 97 for 3.

2nd Quarter Final: Maliban Biscuits snached a heart stopping 4 wickets with 2 deliveries to spare over Softlogic Life; Softlogic Life batting first put up a respectable total of 150 for 8 in 25 overs and Maliban Biscuits “B” scored 151 for 6 in 24.4 overs.

3rd Quarter Final – Ansell Lanka continued their giant killing performance when they beat Emerchemie NB by 4 wickets.

Emerchemie NB, batting first scored 161 runs in 25 overs and Ansell Lanka chased down the target successfully, scoring 162 for 6 in 23.3 overs.

04th Quarter Final –Tournament favourites, HNB “B” continued their dominance with a comprehensive 57 runs win over Seylan Bank.

HNB “B” batting first, scored 209 for 7 in 25 overs, to which Seylan Bank replied with 157 for 9 in 25 overs.

The Semi Finals will be played this weekend, 6 and 7 April; Dialog Axiata Vs. Maliban Biscuits “B” and HNB “B” Vs. Ansell Lanka.
