Dialog Axiata has strengthened its commitment to the nation's Olympic aspirations by becoming the Official Telecommunications Partner of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOCSL) through to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Through this landmark partnership, Dialog will support Sri Lanka's athletes on their journey to the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and the Olympic Games, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing sporting excellence and helping local athletes compete on the world stage.
The partnership comes at a time when Sri Lanka is in a strong position to create history, with javelin thrower Rumesh Tharanga emerging as one of the country's leading medal prospects following his outstanding performances on the global stage. Sri Lanka has won two Olympic medals in its history, with Duncan White claiming silver in the men's 400m hurdles at the 1948 London Olympics and Susanthika Jayasinghe winning silver in the women's 200m at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
