In a grand celebration of tradition St. Peter’s College officially launched its 2025 First XV Rugby campaign yesterday at the Rev. Fr. Nicholas Perera Memorial Hall.
The ceremony, orchestrated by the Rector alongside the St. Peter’s College Rugby Foundation, proudly unveiled the new jersey and honoured the school’s cherished sponsors propping up with the Bamba lads for number of years in tandem.
Led by Captain Vishenka Silva and Vice Captains Emith Jayaweera and Shenuka Perera, the Peterite First XV enters the season energised by an unwavering spirit of excellence.
Cargills Dairies Ltd. (Kotmale) as Platinum Sponsor, TDM International as Principal Sponsor, and Atmos Solutions Inc as Gold Sponsor, alongside valued partners such as Link Natural Products, Ceylon Agro Industries, Gordone Sri Lanka, Hemas Hospital, and Peterite Media Unit.
Beyond symbolising a new era, the event reinforced the deep bond between players, sponsors, and the Peterite community. With renewed purpose and unrelenting pride, St. Peter’s College steps onto the field this season, ready to chase glory with heart and defend their league championship while expecting to take away the President Trophy Knock out championship which was kicked off yesterday.
