Debutants Sanasa Life Insurance made a memorable entrance to Mercantile Cricket with a resounding 8-wickets win over fancied MAS Silueta, in the ongoing 21st David Pieris Group of Companies sponsored “DPGC” challenge trophy, MCA “E” division 25-Over league tournament 2024 which got underway on 3 December and continued during the weekend of 9-10 December.

MAS Silueta, batting first was restricted to 124 for 8 in 25 overs by Sanasa medium pace bowlers, Mithila Charith (5/15/04) and Dulaj D. Senaratne (5/1/11/03).

Dulaj Senaratne continued to be a thorn in the flesh on Silueta, as he opened the batting and top scored with a quick 49 runs in 50 balls, inclusive of 05 fours; Senaratne was associated in 95 runs opening stand with 84 balls with P. Bethmage (43 in 49 balls, inclusive of 4 sixes and 1 four)
