David Pieris ‘A’ face Teejay Lanka in MCA ‘C’ Division Final on Sunday

The high riding, David Pieris Motor Co. “A” will take on the revenge seeking, Teejay Lanka, in the fifth NDB MCA “C” division 50-over League / White ball / Coloured Clothing Tournament 2025 Final, on Sunday, 31 August at the MCA grounds, commencing 9:45 a.m.

David Pieris Motor Co. “A” finished on top of the league points table with five wins on the trot and one defeat. Their five wins were against, Teejay Lanka by 67 runs; Sampath Bank by 5 wickets; Commercial Bank “A” by 141 runs; MAS Bodyline 121 runs and; LOLC Holdings by 3 wickets. Their only blemish was losing to MAS Intimates by 23 runs. In the knock-out stage they beat Commercial Bank “A” (league No. 4) once again in the first semi-final by 8 wickets.

Teejay Lanka finished second in the league points table with four wins and two defeats. Their wins were against Commercial Bank “A” by 9 runs; MAS Bodyline by 54 runs; Sampath Bank by 6 wickets and; LOLC by 2 wickets. Their two defeats were against DPMC “A” by 67 runs and MAS Intimates by 3 wickets. In the knock-out stage they beat LOLC Holdings (league No. 3) once again by 5 wickets, in a rain affected semi-final, reduced to 22 overs a side.
