Week three of the Inter-Club Rugby League 2025/26 arrives with rising intensity as the top contenders look to extend their early-season momentum. Defending champions, Kandy SC, in form, CR and FC, unbeaten, Havelock SC and rejuvenated CH and FC all enter the week with eyes firmly set on strengthening their positions as the league table begins to take shape.
Havelock SC will open the week’s fixtures when they host Army SC Tomorrow (29 November) at Havelock Park. The Park Club, still unbeaten, have shown glimpses of their true potential despite a mixed start. Following a dramatic 31-all draw against Navy and a powerful second-half burst to defeat Sri Lions 42/11, the Havies know they must find rhythm quickly to stay in touch with the top tier.
All 4 games will see the kick off at 3 pm due to poor light and heavy rain towards the evening hours.
Captain Sandesh Jayawickrema has marshalled the troops well, while Samuel Maduwantha’s kicking form remains a major asset. His accuracy offers Havies the edge in tight contests, a crucial factor as the league heats up. Jayathu Rajarathna the former DS player will play a vital role in the three quarter line with his lightning fast moves.
Army SC, though winless after narrow losses to Air Force (19/24) and CR (0/19), cannot be taken lightly. Under new Head Coach Sanath Martis, the Soldiers are rebuilding with discipline and renewed structure. Though the task at Havelock Park is formidable, Army will be desperate to break their early-season drought.

On 30 November at Police Park today, Police SC welcome a confident Red Shirts, who have begun their campaign with two polished victories. The Cops have shown glimpses of fight but have fallen short against CH and Air Force. CR, led by the imposing, Lasindu Karunathilake is focused on maintaining their unbeaten run as they continue the chase behind league leaders Kandy SC.

On 29 November, defending champions, Kandy SC make their second Colombo appearance, facing Siri Lions at Longdon Place. Kandy were ruthless in dismantling the Sailors in their opener and now receive a further boost with the return of star backs, Danushka Ranjan and Dinal Ekanayake With Sanushka Abeywickrema shaping a young forward pack and Fazil Marija directing overall strategy, Kandy look primed for another commanding display.

CH and FC, another unbeaten side this season, will travel to Welisara on 30 November to take on Navy SC. With a balanced unit and growing confidence, CH are well-placed to challenge the top contenders. Navy, despite two tough outings, are always dangerous on home turf and will seek a turning point.

With Kandy, CR, Havies and CH all eager to extend their winning momentum, Week three promises high-quality rugby as the title race becomes increasingly competitive. Unbeaten Air Force will have a rest week.
