Colombo North defeated Colombo South by 33 runs (DLS method) to win the Under-17 Sri Lanka Youth League final played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium yesterday.

Chasing a revised target of 167, Colombo South were terminated for 133 their batting falling to the right-arm fast deliveries of Minuga Nethsara (4/37) and Lahiru Lakmal (3/26).

Earlier Colombo North spurred by a half-century from Santhul Wijerathna (59 off 74 balls, 4 fours) reached 164 with left-arm Rusandu Silva taking 4/16.
