Cinnamon Grand Inter-Departmental Swimming Meet 2018

Cinnamon Grand’s Inter-Departmental Swimming Meet was held at the Thurstan College pool recently, with the participation of associates from 10 departments, which included Front Office, Angsana, Sales and Marketing, L&D/HR, Finance, Kitchen, Security, F&B, Engineering and Housekeeping.

The Front Office team took home the overall championship with 93 points, while L&D/HR were named first runner-up with 54 points and Sales and Marketing were named second runner-up with 45 points.

The Front Office’s Amanda Rodrigo and L&D/HR’s Aldrin Shu emerged Overall Champions in the Under 25 women’s and men’s categories respectively, while Sales and Marketing’s Agahta Winslaw and Security’s Kelum Gunerathne were named Champions in the 26-35 years women’s and men’s categories respectively. Front Office’s Nishan Chathuranga and Finance’s Roshan Bandaranayake were joint champions in the 36-45 years men’s category, while Angsana’s Sanath Siriwardena took home the title for the 45 years + category.

A fun competition with games also took place afterwards, where Yasapalitha and Amanda finished in first place, while Chandana and Sheanda came second and Jayakody and Thilini finished in third place.
