Chris Gayle endorses Sri Lanka as top tourist destination

Former West Indies cricket captain and the self-proclaimed ‘Universe Boss’, Chris Gayle currently in Kandy for the Legends Cricket Trophy, took to social media to endorse Sri Lanka as a top tourist destination. 

In an Instagram story shared by Tourism Minister Harin Fernando, Gayle expressed his delight at returning to Sri Lanka after 12 years, praising the country’s delicious food and hospitable people. 

“It is good to be back in Sri Lanka after 12 years. I missed Sri Lankan food, which is superb. The people are great here, so come on and visit Sri Lanka, you’ll have a great time,” he said.

Gayle also said that his favourite place is Galle and he loves the king coconut water and cashews. 

“Sri Lanka’s got the vibes. Come on now and check it out, machaang,” he quipped.
