Chanaka Perera stormed into the lead after Day 2 at the National Ranking Golf Tournament 2025, being played at the Victoria Golf Resort in Rajawella.
Perera followed up his opening 73 with a steady 74 on Day 2 for a total of 147, giving him a slender one-stroke advantage at the halfway stage.
Just one shot behind is Vijitha Bandara, who shot a solid 71 on the first day but slipped slightly with a 77 in the second round, totalling 148. In third place sits Kumar Danushan, who maintained consistent form with rounds of 74 and 75 to stay well within striking distance at 149.
Kaya Daluwatte, Priya Hemantha, Reshan Algama, P.D.S.U. Kumara, Jacob Norton, Chalitha Pushpika, K.B.S. Madushanka, Uchitha Ranasinghe, Sachin De Silva, Anura Rohana, Dananjaya Bandara, R.M.S. Rupesinghe, Lavindu Premarathne, G.W.A.J. Wijenayake, and W.G.D.P. Karunaratne all 18 made the cut for Day 3 today, which includes 15 amateur golfers and three pro golfers.
