Chalitha continues to occupy top position in tandem

Chalitha Pushpika maintains top position while Yannik Kumara Climbs five Places in Sri Lanka Golf Ranking Championships 2024 end of day 2 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) yesterday.

Chalitha Pushpika, continued to dominate with a consistent performance, maintaining a two-over-par total score of 145. 

Close behind was Reshan Algama, the 16-year-old left handed golfing sensation trailing by three strokes with a total score of 148, securing the second position.

 Priya Hemantha from Victoria Golf Resort followed closely in third place with a total score of 152. Yannik Kumara, solid four-over-par score propelled him from the 11th position yesterday to an impressive fifth position. His remarkable performance showed  his talent and potential in the realm of junior golf.

Adithya Weerasinghe faced a challenging day on the course, shooting a disappointing ten-over-par round, dropping from the second position yesterday to the fourth position today with a total score of 154.

The hot, humid, and dry weather conditions posed a significant challenges for all participants, testing their skills and resilience on the course. With two more days of play remaining, the competition remains open, especially for players in the top half of the leaderboard.

As the championship progresses, all eyes will be on top 5 players where day 3 and 4 will be poised for some exciting golf.
