The Sri Lanka Golf Ranking Tournament commenced yesterday at the picturesque Victoria Golf Resort in Rajawella, with experienced golfer Pushpika emerging as the early leader after an impressive opening round score of 71.

Close on his heels is Priya Hemantha, who carded a solid 74, while Kumar Danushan sits third with a 75, keeping the race for the top spot wide open heading into the second round. Reshan Algama had a modest start, finishing the day shared the 5th position with H.G.G.P Chathuranga, with a score of 79 each. In the Girls’ division, Sithara Lorance emerged as the leader with a round of 87.

The tournament’s day 2 will take place today at Rajawella.
