Regulations

  • Conditions of play: The tournament will follow Badminton World Federation (BWF) Statutes and general competition regulations. The Referee’s decision is final in any dispute.
  • Clothing/equipment: BWF GCR 20-24 regulations on clothing, equipment, and advertising will be enforced starting from the quarterfinals.
  • Scoring: Best of three games to 21 points (as per BWF Statute 4.1).

Key dates:

  • Entry closing date: Saturday, 30 May
  • M&Q report publication: Sunday, 7 June 
  • Seeding report publication: Monday, 15 June
  • Withdrawal deadline: Thursday, 18 June (Written notification to [email protected] required)
  • Draw date: Saturday, 20 June (Will take place at Ceylon Masters Badminton and can be nTournament starts: Thursday, 25 June

Withdrawal penalty: Withdrawals after the draw, carries a penalty of Rs. 5,000. Failure to pay within 14 days of the tournament completion will result in a 12-month ban from CMB sanctioned tournaments. No refunds after the draw closes.

Important notice

All players must be registered with CMB using the following portal and submit the entry only through the CMB Online Entry Portal. (Please use the following link) Only the paid entries submitted through the portal will be considered for the draw and any other entry will be rejected. www.ceylonmasters.lk/login 

SLB registration alone will not qualify for entry. CMB player registration and identity number is compulsory for both local and foreign players.

Special entry fee discount of 10% will be available to players who register before 31 May.
