Captains picked for SLC Invitational T20 league

Three of the players picked to lead the four teams in the SLC Invitational T20 league are from the same club SSC, while the fourth is from CCC.

Sri Lanka white ball captain Dasun Shanaka who is the captain of SSC will lead SLC Greens, while his SSC team mates Kusal Mendis will captain SLC Reds and Charith Asalanka SLC Blues. CCC captain Ashan Priyanjan will lead SLC Greys.

SLC Greys won the last SLC Invitational T20 league held in 2019 under Dasun Shanaka’s captaincy. 

A total of 60 players have been picked to represent the four teams with 15 players per team.

All the matches will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium with two matches per day, the first commencing at 3 p.m. and the second at 7.30 p.m.

The fixtures:

• 9 August: Greys v Reds (3 p.m.), Blues v Greens (7.30 p.m.)
• 11 August: Greens v Reds (3 p.m.), Greys v Blues (7.30 p.m.)
• 14 August: Greys v Greens (3 p.m.), Blues v Reds (7.30 p.m.)
• 16 August: Final (7.30 p.m.)
