CH out to continue winning streak

CH and FC will be all out to continue their winning streak when they confront debutants, Sri Lions at Ratmalana on 21 February in one of the vital Inter Club, Plate segment rugby encounters. After losing out in the first round CH will be all out to settle matters with a win in this encounter.
Kick-off is at 4 p.m.
CH produced some outstanding running ruby in their last game against the Sailors at Welisara. They beat Navy SC by 50 plus scores twice in the first and Super round encounters.
CH though missed out on a top 4 finish and feature in the Cup segment they are all out to put up a brave effort in their last 3 games to play. They have some outstanding players in their ranks such as Deshan Vimukthi, Charith Silva, Nirosh Perera, Devinda Rathnayake, Roshan Kumara, Pasindu Bandara and skipper Janidu Dilshan. Coached by the most experienced, Sanath Martis they are favoured to pull it off though they were shocked by Sri Lions in round 1.
Meanwhile Sri Lions are hit with injury worries with nearly 6 of them out of action in this game as well. Skipper Kevin Dixon, will be returning to lead the side after missing many games. Dushmantha Priyadharshana, Abdulla Faizer, Ranithu Ridmal, Dilshan Madushanka, and Aiden Fernando will miss out this encounter due to injury.
Though Sri Lions pulled off their maiden win in top division against CH this game will be a close encounter with CH holding a slight edge.
Referee Nalin Lasantha will officiate this encounter.
Army favoured to pull it off
Army Sports Club will be favoured to pull off and start the Super Round of the Plate segment with a huge bonus point win at Panagoda when they face last placed Navy outfit on 22 February.
Kick off is at 4 p.m.
Army another side to have missed out due to inconsistency in their approach to the game which cost them the Cup segment berth.
They have some class acts under their belt. Players like Sudaraka Dikkumbura, Ashan Bandara and Talwatte could be on top of their game which will be a major issue for the Sailors fighting out for their first win this season.
On form Army should be home with a bonus point win at home.
Referee Kelum Sanduruwan will handle this game.
The encounter between the Ladies of both teams will be worked off at the same venue at 2.30 p.m. with Deepal Punyawardena handling the whistle.
