The British School in Colombo edged out their rivals Colombo International School (CIS) by one run in their annual cricket encounter played at the Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation Grounds in Colombo.

The British School in Colombo scored 183 for three from their allotted 25 overs and restricted their opponents to 182 for four in 25 overs to regain the Hasan Sohail Memorial Trophy.

British School Skipper and Man-of-the-Match Kenneth De Silva hammered a sparkling 93 from 70 balls inclusive of seven sixes and six boundaries after they were invited to bat first. Meanwhile, Bosith Wijesundara of CIS was named as the Best Batsman, Shaun Polonowita (CIS) won the Best Bowler and Dhruv Kapoor of the British School won the Best Fielder award.

CIS: 182/4 in 25 overs (Bosith Wijesundara 86, Vishen Gunasekara 47).
