Best Sri Lankan Women eSports athletes crowned by Gamer.LK at SLT eSports Women’s Cyber Games 2019

Gamer.LK successfully held the first ever SLT eSports Women’s Cyber Games 2019 on 1 June at the Play Arena, in association with official digital banking partner FriMi. The top eight women eSports athletes were ranked and rewarded with a total prize pool of Rs. 100,000.

Each of the eight contestants had their preferred game out of the five titles featured at the finals – Call of Duty 4, Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart, Subway Surfers and eRacer (Project Cars). A top placement in the game awarded eight points, with each lower position getting one point less than the position above.

The SLT eSports Women’s Cyber Games was played on a network backbone powered exclusively by Sri Lanka’s number onebroadband network SLT Fibre, famous for its low latency, dedicated and reliable connectivity compulsory for eSports and gaming. Showcasing speeds of up to 100Mbps and optimised packet routing paths, gamers received an unparalleled broadband experience at the event.

With all titles concluded, the final standings were as follows, along with the breakdown of the Rs. 100,000 prize pool which was transferred via the participants FriMi accounts. 

1. Gnavindya buttercup magammulla (Prize money: Rs. 50,000) – 1st Place

2. Kavindee V!n[K]y Kariyawasam (Prize money: Rs. 17,500) – 2nd Place

3. Dhinelka PnX|BitSy Anthony (Prize money: Rs. 17,500) – 2nd Place
