Bad weather ruins domestic cricket

All tournaments postponed indefinitely

The Major Club and Tier B T20 tournaments which was to herald the new domestic cricket season yesterday were indefinitely postponed by Sri Lanka Cricket due to bad weather.

In a media release SLC said:

“Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to postpone all SLC organized domestic cricket tournaments following an assessment of the current weather conditions.

“This includes the Major Club and Tier B Club T20 tournaments, which were scheduled to commence today and also the Governors Trophy.

“The revised schedules will be announced in due course.”
