The 2025 edition of the prestigious Mark Bostock Memorial Trophy (MBMT) was a celebration of skill that saw Mohideen Aslam clinch the title of Overall Nett Winner with an outstanding score of 39, narrowly edging out Janusha, Yogaraja, who scored 38 and was named Runner-up. Derrick Ponnambalam also posted a strong 38, showing the high level of competition this year.

Ladies’ Gross Excellence in the Ladies’ Gross category, Janusha Yogaraja emerged victorious with a score of 17, while Keya Abhayaratne followed closely with 16 to secure the Runner-up spot. This was played for Tony Whitham challenge trophy.

Dominance in Gents’ Gross Kumar Danushan put on a master class to win the Gents’ Gross title with a commanding score of 38. Derrick Ponnambalam took the Runner-up position with a score of 30, reinforcing his consistent performance across both Nett and Gross categories. This was played for Ken Balendra Challenge trophy.

In the Seniors event Bruno Pagliuca won the event with a score of 35 while Udaya Navimana was the Runner-up while in the Ladies segment Shirani Buffin won the event with a nett score of31 while Ouse Maatman Hanny was Runner-up with a score of 29.

GM trophy was won by Senuk Paranagama while Steve Batemann was the Runner-up. More than 80 golfers teed off in the annual event at the Victoria Golf Resort in Rajawella. (SJ)
