A dominant Army rugby side powered to a 57–24 victory over Navy SC in their Inter-Club ‘A’ Division Rugby League 2025/2026 clash at Welisara on Saturday.

Army ran in nine tries in a high-tempo display, with Madusanka Silva and Danushka Thalwatta grabbing doubles. Further tries came from Buddi Sreemantha, Nalin Kumara, Sudharaka Dikkumbura, Tharinda Chandrasena, and Tharun Warnasooriya, while Lahiru Rathnayaka added six conversions to complete the rout.

Navy responded through tries by Senura Peiris, Denuwan Wickramarachchi, and Amith Madusanka. Isuru Kongahawatta, Kalpa Lakmina, and Stephan Sansoni converted, with Kongahawatta also landing a penalty.

The Referee was Kelum Sandaruwan.

The result sees Army secure seventh place in the standings, while Navy finish eighth. Navy will now face Sri Lions in the Clifford Cup pre-quarter-final knockout.
