Antonian Aaqil wins Rev Bishop BEDE Memorial Gold Medal

Mohammed Aaqil, the former Antonians Badminton skipper and Co-Vice-Captain of the First XI cricket outfit of 2021 at St. Anthony’s, was awarded with the Rt. Rev Bishop BEDE Memorial Gold Medal for the Best All-Round Student for sports and studies at the Katugastota school.

Aaqil was the Captain of the Antonians Badminton outfit, Vice-Captain of the Antonians First XI cricket outfit, and also represented the Kandy district in the Under-15 and 19 segments.

In the 2022 Big Match, he scored a brilliant knock of 86 for the Katugastota Antonians.
