Abu Dhabi T10: Hasaranga, Bhanuka shine, but finish on losing side

Two of Sri Lanka’s top T20I cricketers Wanindu Hasaranga and Bhanuka Rajapaksa starred with brilliant individual performances but were unfortunate to finish on the losing side in the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament played at Abu Dhabi.

Hasaranga made a fine 30 off 18 balls (four fours, one six) and followed it up by taking 4/12 runs, but Deccan Gladiators, who scored 97/9, lost to Team Abu Dhabi by four wickets.

In another match played on Sunday night, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, opening the batting for Chennai Braves, smashed a brilliant 64* off 31 balls, inclusive of four sixes and six fours, but Delhi Bulls, powered by Dwayne Bravo’s unbeaten 43* off 17 balls, chased down their target of 125, to win by five wickets.
