The Abans Group has come on board as a Silver Sponsor for the Golden Jubilee of rugby at D. S. Senanayake College which will be celebrated in 2026, marking 50 years of a proud and enduring sporting legacy. With the support of Sri Lanka’s premier Home Appliances and Electronics retailer, Abans by its side, the college’s rugby tradition, referred to as “Donz Rugby” since its inception in 1976, is expected to be empowered as one of the most respected forces in the school rugby arena.

The 2026 Golden Jubilee squad will be led by Captain Tatheera Perera, with Praveen Lakmal and Chamith Samarasinghe serving as Vice Captains. Together, they carry the responsibility of guiding the team through this landmark year in the college’s sporting history.
