87th Mahagastota Hill Climb on 3-4 April

The 87th edition of the Mahagastota Hill Climb organised and conducted by the Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMSC) will take place on 3-4 April.

This meet will be the season opener in Nuwara Eliya, and will held according to the strict health guidelines. 

The first this year in Nuwara Eliya, will see off the motorcycle events on the initial day. Classic cars will be joining at Mahagastota commencing their morning run from the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and drive down to Mahagastota.

Ashan Silva holds the record for cars while Sampath Weerasinghe holds the record for bikes. Historic cars, bikes and modern cars taking part in the event and recording the least emissions will receive cash prizes of Rs. 10,000 each.

A tree planting program is also will take place.
