The 74th Mercantile Hockey Knockout Tournament, organised by the Mercantile Hockey Association of Sri Lanka, will commence on 13 June 2026 at the Astro Turf, Colombo 07, bringing together leading corporate hockey teams in Sri Lanka for another exciting season of competition. The tournament will continue the day, with the Finals scheduled to be played on 20 June 2026.
This year's tournament will feature 10 teams competing across three divisions:
A Division
B Division
C Division
As the tournament gets underway, Hatton National Bank will be looking to defend its A Division title and continue its winning legacy. Browns Group, the reigning B Division champions, will aim to retain their crown and bounce back strongly following a challenging campaign in the 2026 Mercantile Hockey League Tournament. Meanwhile, with last year's C Division champions Nations Trust Bank earning promotion to the B Division, the C Division competition is set to crown a new champion, with David Peiris Motor Company and John Keells Holdings battling for top honours.
The opening day's fixtures will see Browns Group take on Nations Trust Bank in a B Division encounter at 5 p.m. followed by the A Division clash between Commercial Bank and Hayleys at 6.30 p.m.
The Mercantile Hockey Association of Sri Lanka, with a membership of over 20 leading corporate organisations, extended its best wishes to all participating teams and warmly welcomes hockey fans to be part of the tournament.
