65th Battle of the Babes starts today

The 65th Battle of the Babes between St. Sylvester’s College and Vidyartha College will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium today and on 10 May.

The series is being led by Sylvester’s with 16 wins, while Vidyartha have got three wins under their belt. Out of the 64 matches played so far, 45 of them ended in draw.

Yoshitha Isuranga leads Sylvester’s outfit with Nimesha Mendis coaching the outfit, while Vidyartha is led by Chamalka Bandara, with Champika Siriwardhana coaching the outfit.

Sylvester’s last win was in 2024, while Vidyartha last won in 1967. (SJ)
