The much looked forward 63rd Battle of the Brothers Big Match encounter between Thurstan College and Isipathana College will take place from 3 to 5 April at the SSC Ground.

Thurstan College is led by Yovun Silpa while Isipathana College skipper is Maleesha Sandaruwan. The tally is led by Thurstan with 7 wins to Isipathana 4 wins.

The highest score in the series for Thurstan was scored by Kasun Abeyrathne who stroked a brilliant 147 in 2016 while for Isipathana 150 not out was scored by Saman Nishantha in 2002. Best bowling performances by Thurstan is by Jayajeewa Karunaratne who took 7 for 98 in 1992 while for Isipathana K L SCK Sirisena took 7 for 79 in 1967.

This year’s 50 overs encounter was won by Thurstan while Isipathana won the T20 encounter between the two schools.
