MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PANEL OF JUDGES

The successful conclusion of the LankaPay Technnovation Awards 2026, held under the theme “Inclusive FinTech,” marks another significant milestone in recognizing the transformative role of digital financial innovation in shaping a more accessible and equitable economic landscape in Sri Lanka.

As the country’s only awards platform dedicated exclusively to payment technology innovation, the LankaPay Technnovation Awards continue to set a benchmark for excellence—celebrating solutions that strengthen trust, expand financial access, and enhance the efficiency of digital payments. The importance of a well-developed and inclusive payment ecosystem cannot be overstated, as it remains a key driver of economic growth and an essential contributor to improving Sri Lanka’s overall ease of doing business.

It has been both a privilege and a rewarding responsibility to serve as the Chairman of the Panel of Judges for this 8th edition. The submissions received this year reflected a strong emphasis on purpose-driven innovation, where technology is leveraged not only for advancement, but also to promote inclusion, resilience, and meaningful real-world impact. The depth of insight, technical excellence, and creativity demonstrated by participants are clear indicators of the growing maturity and potential of Sri Lanka’s FinTech ecosystem.

On behalf of the Panel of Judges I extend my sincere congratulations to the winners for their outstanding achievements, to the nominees for their commendable efforts dedication and commitment to innovation and congratulate LankaPay for its continued leadership in driving the nation’s digital payments agenda.
