It is with great pride that I share my message following the successful conclusion of the 8th edition of the LankaPay Technnovation Awards 2026.

This year’s awards once again highlighted the remarkable progress being made within Sri Lanka’s financial technology landscape, particularly in advancing the theme of “Inclusive FinTech.” The innovations showcased reflect a strong and collective commitment to ensuring that digital financial solutions are accessible, affordable, and impactful for all segments of society.

I extend my warmest congratulations to all the winners whose outstanding achievements set new benchmarks in innovation and inclusivity. Their efforts have demonstrated how technology can be effectively harnessed to bridge gaps, empower underserved communities, and enable broader participation in the digital economy.

My sincere appreciation also goes to the distinguished panel of judges for their invaluable expertise, dedication, and integrity in evaluating the entries. Their contribution has been instrumental in upholding the credibility and excellence of these awards.

I would also like to thank all participating financial institutions, FinTech companies, and stakeholders for their continued commitment to driving financial inclusivity and strengthening Sri Lanka’s digital payments ecosystem. Their collective efforts are shaping a more resilient, secure, and inclusive financial future for the nation.

As we reflect on the success of this year’s awards, I am confident that the momentum generated will continue to inspire greater collaboration, innovation, and progress in the years to come.
